1.- Begin with the END in mind.

It is like wanting to win the lottery but never buying the actual ticket; chances are it will never happen.

4.- Do not be a perfectionist.

This is a common mistake made by most marketers. Nothing in this world that is created by humans will ever be perfect. It is unfortunately in our nature, so the same applies to online businesses. Needless to say, people should not embrace incorrect concepts regarding internet marketing nor offer poor quality items; not at all. Just try to the best of your abilities, to come up with the best possible service standards and product line. By doing so, you will be shocked by the amount of success of your business and you will hardly have to postpone a product launch ever again.

5.- Always consider automation, leverage and scalability.

If a project cannot run on autopilot, it will probably take too much of your time. If you are not able to leverage existing systems and knowledge from current successful entrepreneurs, then you are sure to fail. Finally, if your business model cannot grow exponentially without increasing costs, well, you basically will not be generating or keeping profits on the long run. These 3 principles determine the level of success of all Internet marketers today. So keep that in mind.

6.- Form a mastermind group.

Marketers should always have the ability to network and start joint ventures without prejudice. Like I said previously, it is crucial to be willing to learn from others in the industry and be constantly exchanging contact information for future opportunities. We are creative individuals with unique ideas, so absorb all the knowledge you can and expose yourself to new groundbreaking concepts by being out there. Be teachable and active, and become part of a group of business visionaries with interests alike.

7.- Find a good and knowledgeable mentor.

Successful marketers will always relate his or her story to a business mentor, because they are constantly walking into the footsteps of millionaires and billionaires that worked very hard to achieve that status and their current financial situation. Keep in mind that it is far better to learn from the success of other people in the industry than from your own mistakes.

8.- Do what you do best and outsource the rest.

Wow, it even rhymes! It is all about being time effective and putting your expertise to work for your own benefit when running a business on the internet. If you are the best in the world at doing a specific thing, outsource or out-task it. I have not met a single marketer to this day, who is an expert on absolutely every single aspect of online business considering his or her abilities alone. Remember when I mentioned mastermind groups earlier? This is definitely a good reason why you should be part of one.

9.- Educated marketing judgment.

Do not, and I repeat, do not let your ego put you in a place where you cannot learn, or buy a promising product or escape the traps of useless persistence. Try to truly determine if some marketing technique is working or if certain additions to your product line will genuinely help your business model. You have to able to differentiate between that and a pointless course of action. So, be wise and avoid risks by analyzing the market and being honest with yourself and business associates.

10.- Stay ahead of the curve and industry competitors.

All the principles mentioned above will become worthless if you are not out there on top of the latest strategies and market opportunities. Again, expose yourself to new ideas and give them a try. Not all products are overpriced and not every online opportunity is filled with uninspiring and dull people. Be open-minded and willing to take intelligent risks according to your budget. Be smart and stay active!

Hopefully, these 10 principles will offer you and other Internet marketers in the online industry a broader insight regarding what we should have in mind before starting a business and also how to correctly run and improve it. What I am sharing here, is by no means a universal truth, it is an honest guideline based on personal experience and input from people that I have worked with before.

Integration marketing can be one of your best internet marketing strategies, so let’s go over a bit of what the term means and how the idea came to be.

Basically integration marketing is a way to create traffic…and there’s one man who’s taught me more about traffic than any other human being on the face of the earth…his name is Mark Joyner. Mark is the king of integration marketing…actually Mark coined the phrase.

Integration marketing is an extremely powerful concept. Like a lot of powerful things, while it is easy to grasp–sometimes it is deceptively easy! The concept is simply putting one marketing or sales process into another.

Mark came up with the concept back in the mid 1990s…back in the early days of the internet. At the time he had a product…a remotely hosted ad tracking solution…and he was selling ebooks.

Now Mark was taught about up-sells and cross-sells by Joe Sugarman…Joe is one of the greatest direct marketers in the world. An example of an up-sell is when you go to McDonald’s, order a burger and they ask if you want to super-size it…see, it is a larger version of the same product. A cross-sell is when you are offered a complimentary but different product…so at McDonald’s when they ask if you want fries with that…simple concept, right.

Well, Mark took these concepts and applied them to internet marketing. When people bought one of his ebooks, he offered a month of his product at an extremely low introductory rate. By tweaking and testing the offer, he actually got over 50% of the people who purchased the ebook to go for the offer. That’s pretty sweet!

Anyway, that is an example of a basic level of integration marketing.

Mark’s next brainstorm was to combine his offer with ebooks from other people! So by contacting other internet marketers he was able to have them include his same offer of a really, really low intro price to people who had bought lots of ebooks…so he got more exposure than he possibly could have just by tagging onto his own products.

This is what Mark calls higher level integration marketing. You are tagging onto someone’s product, right? So of course you are going to give them a cut on your sales, too. That is a great deal for them…they get additional revenue. It is a great deal for their customers because they get the chance to buy a different but related product. And it is a great deal for you because you get additional exposure, sales, and even though you are sharing your sales dollars, it is cheaper than going out and getting a brand new customer by traditional methods.

Now, you may be wondering why I’m talking about this like it is big news if it started over ten years ago. The truth is, in the vast majority of niches out there…industries that are now using the internet to promote their products…they still aren’t using integration marketing. So, no matter what your niche is, it is important to learn about internet marketing strategies that work in other niches and see if you can apply it to yours! Integration marketing is a winning strategy for getting traffic that…to me, it’s absolutely insane if people don’t do it.

Now we are at the tool of tools for affiliate marketers – TRAFFIC!  Well, traffic isn’t really a tool but there are tools that will cause traffic.

You see, it really is this simple.  As an affiliate marketer you have a product. People need to SEE that product and that is your job.   If enough people see your offer there will be some sales…and you are on your way.

I recommend you start with article marketing. It’s free, it GETS easy, and it works to drive the right kind of traffic to your offer.

I have come to an understanding that many people do not know exactly what the internet market is all about. Many people have done one form of transaction or another on the internet but they do not know that they are dealing with a real market.

My intention in this article is to highlight some of the challenges an internet business person might encounter. My aim is to seek for solution to these problems.

1. Promoting your market. After setting up your internet business, one core area of concern is getting your market to the people who should buy what you are selling. - Free classified ads. You will find this rewarding. However it is very slow and you will need to work hard to find good sites for yourself.

- Pay per click. In this type of advertising media, you pay to get promoted. I will advice that you understand the market before taking this option. It works well but any person who dabbles into it without knowledge will loss lots of money at the onset.

- Offline ads. You will do well to let people know that your products are online. If you were to place an advert in a local newspaper, including your online site is important. If you wish to distribute flyers, it is vital to include your online site.

- Networking is also a good way to promote your products. I must let you know that there are all manners of people in many of the networking sites, promoting all kind of things and in many cases so many of them do not pay attention to your advert. Some of the sites are free, some others ask for registration fee and some would promote you in exchange for your e-mail addresses. In the later you end up with all manner of mails to your email box. Work diligently on this to get good network forum for your business.

- You can promote through articles.
You must be on your guard against frivolous promotions that blow peoples mind. Most of them would tell you that if you subscribe to them they would turn you into a millionaire overnight. If you believe that, you can believe anything. Study your promotion drives careful and then make your decisions.
These processes do not take ages, it requires just a time to study, and this differs from individuals and their commitments.

Handling sales:

- Clear payment information, for example: PayPal, checks etc.
- Delivery: this includes postage or any other means you wish to delivery the purchased good.
- Sales note. You should include this with the items you are delivering. It states what was bought, the quantity, amount paid etc
- Complaints. You must master how to handle complaints. It matters in business.
- Feed back. Getting feedback is important. It helps you to improve your business and customer relations.
- Handling losses. Business involves profit and loss. It is important you know this. Work to avoid losses but be courageous if it happens. Your aim should be to minimize loses at all times.
Overcoming transition time: All businesses have maturation time, before this time there could be lots of struggles and work. It depends on individuals, environment, economic situation and investments. The important question is,
- What should one do between start up time and success time? You need patience, planning and perseverance.
- Overcoming discouragement. You must never be discouraged and never abandon your idea. Keep focus on the future you desire to see and pray.
