Golf Bags For All Occasions

Friday, August 21st, 2009

Choosing a golf bag is a purely personal decision, based on looks and details and what you, the golfer ,want the bag to hold. These days it’s not just clubs a golf bag has to carry, but numerous other things like rain wear, gloves, balls, drinks and even eatables. There is a golf bag for everyone, but first you have to decide what you want out of yours, and then you can decide what is best.

Here is a list of the type of bags that are available and what they are most often used for.

Carry Bag

If you like to carry your clubs, you’ll need a lightweight bag that has a wide padded strap. Try it on in the store, with golf clubs in it, to see if it is properly centred and that it feels comfortable to you. The material should be light, like canvas or nylon, and the bag should be just big enough to hold the essentials for play, clubs, balls, tees and maybe a towel. It should also have it’s own built in stand, so the bag doesn’t have to be laid down. Check the stand, to make sure it’s durable, before you buy.

Cart Bag

These golf bags are bigger than the carry bags and can hold more equipment. Because of this, they are also heavier and are not meant to be carried. This bag is appropriate for a golf cart or hand pushed golf trolley. They will also have more pockets for more storage.

Tour Bag

The tour bag is the type the pro’s use, and is the biggest and heaviest of all. You will see this bag slung over the caddie’s back. They are high quality, are the most expensive, and hold just about everything bar the kitchen sink!

Junior Golf Bag

These are golf bags made for the young golfer. They are very light, have a shorter shoulder strap, and hold fewer clubs. They are also less expensive, which is nice when your not sure if your young one will become a golf lover or not.

Travel Bag

You can get travel golf bags with either soft or hard sides, nowadays. Perhaps if you are flying, the travel bag with the hard sides may be the better option. To prevent you from having to scrape it across the airport car park, get one with built in wheels. Also, look for one that has a locking mechanism, not just a zip. This will ensure none of your clubs get stolen, or accidentally fall out.

Your own personality will come into play when choosing the colour and detail of the bag. Keep an eye on quality and price, but especially on getting the right bag that will work for you.

On the Range Again – Lose the Golf Slice

Friday, August 21st, 2009

I want you to stop and think for a second, at how many times you watched your ball sail off into the deep ole abyss of a forest…To stand there listening for that all so known sound of your ball playing plinko in the trees. Yes we have all barred witness to this at one time or another. Well the days of the plinko playing are about to come to an end my dear friend. Golf balls are not cheap nowadays, and lets face it you losing 6 or 7 balls per round of golf is really getting old, am I right? So learning how to fix your golf slice, will definitely make golf a much more enjoyable game and also lower the cost per round.

I remember this one time, I was last to tee off in a group of 4. It was a busy day so of course I had an audience. I set up on the tee, was thinking positive, I hit the ball to only see it go off 75 yards from the tee in to the forest and bounce right back toward me, maybe 20 yards off the front of the tee box. Wow how embarrassing right? I know how bad it was for me and I would hate to see this happen to anyone else.

You are probably saying to yourself “Ya I have tried taking Golf lessons” But yet you are still looking for a top notch way to fix your slice. What about all those expensive infomercial gimmick’s you see on T.V?

I went and purchased the swing magic and it did absolutely nothing to cure my slice, I even tried the medicus, just another money pit…after spending well over $150 on useless tools I finally woke up.

Look you can waste money on lessons and infomercials all you want, but I will tell you, you’re not gonna get what you want out of them. Once I went and learned the proper techniques to hitting the ball straighter, everything changed for me in my golf game and I am certain that it will do the same for you!

So please don’t waste the same amount of money I did on stuff that just makes you more frustrated out on the course and finally take the proper steps to fix your golf slice once and “fore” all.

One of the best ways i learned how to fix my golf slice and shoot lower scores and impress myself and my fellow companions. Or for more info on how to really take a grip on your game visit How To Fix A Golf Slice

How to Go About Fixing Your Golf Slice Fast

Friday, August 21st, 2009

The dreaded slice has ruined the game of countless golfers for decades. Although your “tree shot,” I mean sorry, “tee shot” may seem ok at first, it then starts to curve to the right and becomes hopelessly lost in a frightful collection of trees and then hearing your ball playing plinko. This is the most common problem for golfers.

Right around this time is where you start singing the Golf Slice Blues. You want to hit the ball straight, you want to be consistent, you want to out drive your friends, you no longer want to have the dreaded Slice.

Oh how I wish I would of known then, what I know now!

Try this,

1. Lay your driver across your shoulders with the grip end to your left.

2. Take your stance and make your regular back swing turn.

Ok so, you may have seen this drill done before, but hardly anyone does it correctly. Most golfers think that you should make your back swing turn so that the shaft points at the ball. That’s way too steep, and one of the reasons why you slice. Swinging the club too flat with the shaft pointing way beyond the ball is equally bad and just another reason for your slice.

The correct way in using this technique is to turn your shoulders and maintain your posture so that the shaft points at a spot about a foot on the other side of the ball. That’s a perfect on-plane position. Combine a nice, smooth back swing with this exact shoulder turn and you’ll be in perfect position at the top.

This along with a few other ways I have tried has drastically changed the way I play golf, and has made
the game of golf much more enjoyable.

I have tried many ways of fixing my slice on the range and on the course. But coming across some of the fabulous techniques that I have picked up over the years have changed the way I play golf. It has also made me so much more relaxed, confident and I think every person that plays this game deserves to play it this way. Slice Be Gone
