How Much Money Will Your Website Make in the First Week?

Tuesday, March 30th, 2010

You will be tempted to start making money with your website on day 1. Without a crystal ball, I can predict exactly how much money you are going to make on day 1 – $0.00.

Actually I can take it a little further and predict how much money you are going to make the first week your website is live – $0.00.

After a week it starts to get a little more difficult to make accurate predictions. I can not predict the exact number but I can guess a ballpark figure – between $0 and 50 cents. And that is only if you have some kind of advertising on your site. If, on the other hand, you are doing affiliate sales then I can be very accurate – $0.

Even though it is very luring to try to make money from your website the first day it goes live, there is not point to it. This is because for at least the first few months you will have no traffic. Sure a few visitors might come wondering in, but the chances they will click an advertising link are low and that they will buy a product from you are none.

Before you try to make money from your website make sure you have the following:

  1. Traffic – If there is nobody at your website then there is nobody to click the ads or buy the products.
  2. Trust – People tend to buy from websites they trust. Amazon does well because it has been around for a long time. Your website just popped up. Nobody has heard of it before so there is no trust. Only after a few months will you gather a presence on the internet and only then will people begin to trust you enough to buy.
  3. A Good Shopping Experience – Grand openings are great for electronics stores but they are not good for websites. Website are more like restaurants. The opening days at restaurants are disasters. The cook is late, you do not have enough chairs, the light does not work on table 3. Give your website time to make sure everything is right before you begin to invite people to buy your food.

When should you start making money from your website? You could start the first day your website goes live, but if you want to make money it is better to wait.

I made 0 dollars the first week my website went live. But now, a year later, I am making money. The website is more then a year old and proves with charts and real data that making money is possible but not easy.

Having a Website Is Like a Relationship – In the First Few Months You Will Have Lots of Sex

Tuesday, March 30th, 2010

If you are thinking of creating a money making website then prepared to have a busy first 3 months. In the first 3 months you will need to:

  1. Create the design of your website. The layout, colors, and graphics
  2. Create the content of your website. You will need to write at least 20 pages of content.
  3. Open a website hosting account.
  4. Decide on and purchase domain name
  5. Create email account
  6. Familiarize yourself with your niche. Start promoting your website.

Even though the first 3 months will probably be your busiest, they will also be the most fun. This is a time where everything is fresh and new. Were every new web page created and every new visitor is an exciting experience.

You will be motivated by the thrill of creating something new. And by constantly learning something new. Everyday your website will grow and become bigger.

You will monitor your visitor and revenue statistics but you will not worry about them. It is still to early to be concerned with progress. You will be happy to be simply building something.

Like the first three months of a relationship, the first 3 months of a website are a cloud 9 experience. You will tolerate imperfections – those can be weeded out later. The website will be a patchwork of ideas not completely formed, but that’s ok – you can fine tune later. You will want to spend all your time on the website. In the shower, while watching TV, walking the dog – you will be constantly thinking about your website.

Oh the good time you will have.

Savor the beginning. Enjoy the innocence of it. Just create and be happy that you are making something. Do not worry about how many visitors your have, how much money you are making, or even whether the idea is a good one.

Do not worry about that at the beginning, because there will be plenty of time to worry later. Actually more then plenty. After 3 months most of your time will be spent worrying. Where is the traffic? Why have I not made any money? Is my site any good? After 3 months these are the kind of questions that will be spinning around your head, over and over again.

Enjoy the first 3 months – they will not last forever.

I really enjoyed my first few months. Visit my website to discover how this website makes money to see how much money you can really make with a website. The website is more then a year old and proves with charts and real data that making money is possible.

How to Make a Web Page – Today!

Tuesday, March 30th, 2010

How to make a web page is something that you need to master if you are serious about getting a website online and perhaps go onto giving yourself the chance to use it to generate extra income. Lets look at what you need, how to use it and how to get it for free!

I am assuming that you know next to nothing about putting up a website but really would like to be a part of what many, including myself, regard as the most exciting and dynamic business in the world today. You can operate from your spare room and sell to the world!

First, lets look at the software you will need.

An ‘HTML Editor’ – which is a techie type title for something that can be more accurately described as a Website Creation Program.

This is the software that will build your site page by page – knowing how to make a web page means that you can put together an entire website. You can include copy, photographs, graphics, video, audio, links, opt-in boxes etc. If this all sounds a little scary I’m coming to the complete solution.

Next is FTP or File Transfer Protocol software. Another intimidating title for a fairly simple piece of software that will transfer the site you have created on your computer up to your hosting company. Hosting company? – that’s just the organization that will put your new website onto the world wide web.

The third and final piece of the jigsaw and easily the most important.

Unless, unlike me, you are a super techie, armed only with the two pieces of software detailed above you would be an internet super hero if that’s all you needed to create and submit your website to the web. You see when it comes to this sort of stuff I need a step by step, click by click guide that is completely non technical and assumes that I know nothing.

Furthermore, I don’t know about you, but I prefer to be shown by video rather than a huge, off-putting manual. Its so much easier to look over an experts shoulder as he goes through the entire process in minute, easy to follow steps.

Two pieces of good quality software backed up with a 26 part course, that amounts to around 5 hours of video given by one of the best internet tutors around. The cost? – free.

Learn how to make a web page and create a website completely free of charge and receive more valuable free products over the next few days by visiting http://www.GetStarted-Online.com/how-to-make-a-web-page.html

Too good to be true? – only one way to find out.
