* If you are feeling significant pain from hemorrhoids.
* If you cannot pass stools.
* Minor rectal bleeding could mean a small amount of hemorrhoids, but it could also be something more serious like the aforementioned disorders.
Do not hesitate to tell your doctor about the bleeding, especially if you are older. Most cases of hemorrhoids are minor however and can be healed at home.
