Do MLM Companies Make You Successful?
Do network marketing companies make you successful?…the simple answer is NO and YES. Let me explain what I mean.
There are 2 important aspects to look at when deciding on a company:
- Does the company offer a unique product that people want?
- How good is the leadership of the company?
If in doing your research on MLM companies and come across answers that are favorable then you’ve probably found a good one.
BUT, it is ultimately not the network marketing companies that will make you successful. The most important aspect of determining your success in network marketing is your mindset. There is this idea out there that when I sign up, then I will make it big…and nothing could be farther from the truth.
If someone tells you…”Just sign up and I’ll take care of the rest”, RUN because they are only fooling you. There may be a bit of truth to this, in the terms that you may make a bit of money, but it will never amount to what you are hoping for.
Business Owner Mindset
When becoming a network marketer you are essentially becoming a business owner. With that comes the responsibility of understanding cash flow, marketing, sales and entrepreneurship. When you begin to work on yourself in understanding how a business owner works and thinks…then you will realize your potential.
Finding a Great Mentor/Coach
So besides understanding these principles what is it that will make you successful. One of the biggest catapults to your success is the role of a mentor/coach, either someone within your company or even someone not in your company, who has achieved the results you desire. In my experience having been in the network marketing industry for years, this is one of the biggest reasons, if not the biggest, why people come from the bottom of the ranks and rise to the top.
System for Building Relationships
The most important aspect of network marketing is relationship building. So on the list of “must haves”, just down from having a good mentor, is having a good system for collecting leads of people possibly interested in joining your business. Once you have them on an email list you can begin the ever important work of building a relationship with them…which is where the money is.
So to come back to the question in the title, MLM companies really play such a small role in determining your success in the network marketing industry. If you are currently not successful in the network marketing company you’re in then it is highly unlikely that you will be successful in another network marketing company. Get into the right mindset, find yourself a good mentor and a system for building relationships and you will begin to see amazing results.
