Mums the world over are staying at home earning a great income whilst taking care of their children. So what’s involved in transitioning to and building a home based internet marketing business?
Firstly, finding an opportunity which is a fit is a must. A top tier opportunity which rewards hard work with generous commissions is preferable to a lower tier opportunity wherein you’re devoting the same amount of time for a much less grand reward. An upline or sponsor who is dedicated to your success is vital and I advocate strongly that they subscribe to the attraction marketing model rather that the antiquated MLM methodology of old.
The up-skilling involved can be daunting at first and an honest experienced mentor who has ‘walked the walk’ is essential. There are, it seems a plethora of home based business opportunities on offer all over the Internet. It is essential that a new mum who, drawing on my own personal experience, may still be in an emotional and physical ‘haze’ conducts diligent research into the business opportunity on offer and perhaps more importantly into her potential mentor. In internet marketing, it is true to say that to a degree you are only as good as your upline or mentor, at least until you are on your feet.
A little up skilling and time commitment can generate amazing financial reward. Stay at home mums are routinely out stripping their partners in terms of income and many colleagues of mine have subsequently bought their partners and husbands home into the business. It is not uncommon for salaries of 10K-25K monthly to be achieved realistically within a six month period depending on the time commitment possible. This leads me to the reason internet marketing is such a coop for stay at home mums; time flexibility.
I can say from experience it is absolutely possible to create a very rewarding home based internet marketing business with as little as 3 hours per day ( any less than this and the results are pretty mediocre generally). The business literally builds around the needs of your children and your family. If you’re busy on an excursion to the park with friends or at playgroup or lunch, so what! Women are realising the power of creating their own schedules rather that having them dictated to by employers.
Earning an income from home is one thing; the parallel benefits are quite another! My husband and I (we have three young children) saved an incredible 8K per year on childcare costs, who knows how much in fuel, business/work related expenses for me decreased dramatically and I have quality time with my children. Some mums working from a home office have a ‘nanny’ come into their home for a couple of mornings each week while they complete their work. The benefit of this being that they still know who is spending time with their children and where; they may go on an excursion and be home for lunch with Mum after she has finished her ‘day’s work’.
Who is really benefiting from the boom? Professional women find internet marketing opportunities very attractive as it provides an outlet for developing new skills thereby satisfying an intellectual need. As an education professional and business owner of 20 years, I have personally found internet marketing to be refreshing, rewarding and a source of renewal in what was becoming a jaded albeit successful career in ‘bricks and mortar’ business. In the right organisation with a progressive and attentive upline, meeting and networking with other serious business people is exhilarating and incredibly rewarding.
The transition can be daunting but it need not be. The key is to find a business opportunity which resonates with you or which interests you.
The crucial point is finding the internet marketing opportunity that is a good fit and then finding a mentor who is truly dedicated to your success and who has the skills and resources to lead you to that success.
Internet marketing has become accessible to anyone really due to the huge array of resources and teaching tools available. With passion, purpose and direction, any stay at home mum can share in the amazing benefits and financial success of getting involved in what is a phenomenon with huge growth potential.
