Let’s say you own a retail shop in Salt Lake City that sells herbs and natural supplements. You will need a sales team on the floor that can sell these products. This sales team can interact with the customer, provide them with information and direct them to the product most suitable to their needs. A good sales person gets to know their customer and can promote similar items that the customer might like.
A website that can sell, will also interact with the customer, determine their needs, and promote similar products of interest. Dynamic websites can do this. They track your visitors interests depending on where they click, and offer related products depending on what pages they visit. Like a good sales person, a website will up-sell products only when useful to the individual customer.
So to sum up, what’s the difference between a successful online store and a successful brick and mortar store? There is no difference; they both need sales to succeed! Knowing how to cater to customer needs is the sales persons job and a dynamic website can do this.
