Visitors online love Google because they can find anything they want or need at the click of a button. The 1st page of Google receive 90% off all the traffic for a given word typed into Google’ search bar so if you’re on page 2 you only receive a fraction of the traffic. Now contrary to what some people say the websites that are on the first page of Google aren’t there by chance. Those websites were optimized by internet marketing experts to get them there. The website that’s number one on the first page of Google receives 50% or the traffic on that page. The website that’s number 2 receives 25% and the website that ranks number 3 receives 10% so if you’re in the top 3 positions of Google’s search results you’re bound to get some serious traffic to your website.
The second way get more exposure for your business online is to do social media marketing. Nine out of 10 internet users visited a social networking site in 2010. The most popular social networking website is Facebook and now has over 500 Million users. Some say Facebook is becoming a treat to Google as more and more business are marketing with Facebook. To market your company for free with Facebook all you need to do is open a account and create a profile page. Once you add friends to your profile account you start spreading the word about the product or service your company provides. It’s as easy as that. You can also do paid adverting with Facebook to advertise on Facebook pages that are similar to yours.
Google and Facebook has changed forever the way people are doing marketing and that’s not going to change anytime soon. Why not give it a go and see what it can do for your business. The costs are low, you’re not bound to any contract and visitors are already there looking for your products or services.
