Frustrating Web Design – Be Gone!
Designing a web site is a major pain in the you know what. There are so many facets to it that you almost need a degree (in fact, there are certification programs for this very field). You have to be part artist, part writer, and part architect. Let’s face it. Many web sites don’t measure up to what they should look like or what kinds of features they should include.
But there are ways to get around the frustration associated with web design. You could outsource the work to professionals that are good at that kind of stuff. They will handle the artwork, the design and possibly even the content. But for one site this could run you several hundred to even thousands of dollars. Then if you need updates in the future it can cost even more.
What’s really needed is some kind of tool that you can use that can take care of the design and artwork while allowing you flexibility as well. There are many sites that offer canned templates but have you seen them? They are not very good and if you use them, you run the risk of looking like everyone else that has chosen to use them. And many of those are not exactly free either. The ones that they typically offer for free are the worst looking ones. So you end up paying anyway.
Another incredibly easy way to get a site up and running quickly is to install a content management system (CMS) like Wordpress or Joomla. These are included in most hosting packages and typically install with the press of a couple of buttons. So this can take care of your content (by having your audience post to these blogs you are getting automatic content). But the designs leave a lot to be desired.
I found an amazing web design software package that I stumbled upon by accident. It allows me to create a great looking web site and integrates with Wordpress and Joomla (also Drupal) but can also be used for a regular web site design. You can use it on as many sites as you want and allows you the flexibility of changing just about every aspect of the design. It suggests designs for you but if you want to change things like the colors or the fonts, or whatever, you can do it at the click of a button.
If you need to produce web sites for you business (or for others) and you want to some boatloads of money by not having to have a professional design firm, than you owe it to yourself to give this software a try. You can download it for free and “kick the tires” so to speak. The company allows you to use the software free (with some restrictions) so that you can get a feel for the features that it has. But trust me when I tell you. As soon as you try the software out, you’ll be hooked. I’m wondering if you’ll beat me for the quickest purchase after a download. I think I probably took about one minute after using it.
