It is staggering how many individuals have taken college courses or simply learned how to use HTML and other programming languages. So here is what you need to do to get yourself going in the field of web design:
- Buy yourself a domain name and build a website highlighting your skills.
- After the site is built, start marketing through social networking sites, building lists, etc.
- Offer reasonable rates to help you build your portfolio. As you go you can raise your rates.
- Before you know it, people are going to be finding you instead of you finding them.
Now don’t think that everyone out there already has a website because they don’t. They are on the internet looking for a quality web designer, so let that person be you. Show them what you’re working with.
