In some professions the law provides for liability of the practitioners in case of breach of professional duty. Each notary, medical practitioner or lawyer can obtain additional protection by effecting insurance against his professional liability.
Covered under the policy are all claims for material damage resulting from breach of professional duty resulting from negligence, error or omission.

Professional Indemnity of Lawyers
This indemnifies the insured for any claim made against him/her, arising from liability for property damage to his client or a third party as a result of breach of his/her professional duty as lawyer because of negligence, error or omission or other breach of professional duty (gross negligence), as well as the duties of his/her:
apprentices;
employees,
The sum insured (limit of liability) is fixed per insured event and as a total limit of liability in the aggregate for all occurrences within the period of the insurance policy.
Against payment of additional premium the insurer will indemnify the insured for loss of money or any other property in ownership or in the custody of the insured resulting from a fraudulent act or error or omission of an apprentice or an employee in the lawyer’s office.
Professional Indemnity of Certified Public Accountants
This covers the liability of certified public accountants against:
damages to the principal, which are direct and immediate consequence of professional negligence;
costs and expenses made for investigation, defence or negotiation in respect of settlement of any claim covered under the policy up to the specified limit.
The sum insured (limit of liability) is fixed per insured event and as a total limit of liability in the aggregate for all occurrences within the period of the insurance policy.
Additional cover can be arranged:
for litigation costs or legal defence costs;
for all sums, which the insured is liable to pay under claims for damages, resulting from his/her acts errors or omissions in the course of his/her activity as: - receiver; - trustee; - questor.
Professional Indemnity of Medical Practitioners and Medical Staff This indemnifies medical practitioners and medical staff for all sums, which they shall be liable to pay under a court decision or agreement, arising from claims made for damage to third parties, resulting from medical malpractice (including error or omission or professional negligence).
The sum insured (limit of liability) is fixed per insured event and as a total limit of liability in the aggregate for all occurrences within the period of the insurance policy.
We can also arrange cover for litigation costs and/or legal defence.
